Carole Peeler, CPDT, CDBC, CNWI has more than eighteen years of experience in dog training and canine behavior consultation. She is certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, the first certification for dog trainers in history. She is also certified as a dog behavior consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, Inc. (IAABC). Presently she is also a Certified Nose Work Instructor through the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW). In February 2011, February 2008 and December 2000, the Washingtonian Magazine chose her as "One of the area¹s best dog trainers". She is active in various aspects of dog-related activities; including obedience training, behavioral problem solving, conformation, K9 Nose Work, therapy work, Rally, agility, lure coursing and herding. After studying positive behavioral conditioning and clicker training in early 1992, Carole started training exclusively using positive training methods. For four years she trained puppy and adult dog classes, gave adolescent dog seminars and oversaw a puppy day care program. In 1995, her interests refocused to behavioral aggression problems. For the past nine years Carole has managed her own dog training company, C&C PALS. While teaching various types and levels of classes, she also offers private consultations at clients' homes helping people with their dog's various behavioral issues.

Carole is an Honors Graduate of the San Francisco SPCA's Academy for Dog Trainers Behavior Counseling Program, and actively participates in continuing education by attending seminars, conferences, and clinics throughout the year. Carole has also, besides teaching classes and conducting private consultations, been a featured speaker at the annual meeting of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and regularly speaks on dog issues at various local dog-training seminars. Local newspapers have interviewed her several times in regards to articles related to dog issues in the community.

Carole is very active in the dog community and has had numerous accomplishments.
• She does therapy work with her two certified therapy dogs and was actively involved in the aftermath of 9/11 as part of the Pentagon Family Assistance Center.
• She is a certified animal evaluator and member of both Therapy Dogs International, Inc., and the Delta Society and a certified temperament tester for the local Pets on Wheels therapy program in Northern Virginia dealing with service and therapy dogs.
• She is a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator under the newly enacted 2005 AKC certification rules.
• She is on the Animal Science Advisory Committee for the Arlington Career Center, Arlington Public Schools.
• She teaches dog courses for Adult Education for Arlington and Farifax County, also for the City of Falls Church.
• She is a member of the Animal Trainer's Forum, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants -organizations which deal with behavior and training issues.
• She is a member of the American Dog Owners Association, Inc. which deals with dog legislation.
• She has trained for the Shiloh Project in Fairfax County, VA.
• She has titled her own dogs in the breed and obedience ring.
• She is active in her breed clubs, both at the local and national level.
